The SEO contest has finally ended which glads me, we ended up on a 2nd place in the worlds biggest SEO contest.

As some of you know we teamed up with a company called FeWorks LTD which is a partner to us so me and the other chief executive at FeWorks are going on a caribbean cruise.

So it’s now actually less than one month until the end of this contest. What I think is funny is that there are a few competitors (including our eglobalwarmingawareness2007.com) that are pretty stable in the top. Then we have others that looked like they were going to win this competition a couple of weeks ago but now they are barely in top 10. So don’t give up because a lot can happen in just a few days.

Seoremake are the current leader and I’m very impressed with his scores. This domain was bought in the end of February and first found at the beginning of March. So in only a month this site has grown from nothing to everything. A really nice work and congratulations to you.

So who will be the winner of these prizes? Maybe I should add a betting section where we all can bet on different domains for the winning position in Globalwarming Awareness2007. That would be fun. If we take a look at the positions at the moment, it would look like this:

We have now held the first position in Google for awhile and doubt that we will lose that position. The work now lies upon us to reach the stars and get a good ranking in Yahoo and Msn. And I believe I have found a weakness in Msn but I’m not sure yet. We have slowly getting a better position in Msn for Globalwarming Awareness2007 while using this technique but it could be anything effecting our ranks so I guess I will have to continue and see how it goes.

The current top 10 sites.Yes I know you might be interested in what I’m doing and what thoughts I might have about getting a better rank, but I won’t tell you at the moment. In fact I have learned a few things and some other ideas have been confirmed during this contest. So even if I don’t rank well at the end I will use this knowledge on my other sites to make them better and therefore I will win something in this contest independent on my rankings for Globalwarming Awareness2007.

But this doesn’t mean I’m satisfied with our result. In fact I’m disappointed that we can’t get a better rank in Yahoo. Even if a good rank in Msn together with our first place in Google could give us a first place at the end, I will not be satisfied if my rank is not good in Yahoo. It’s a feeling that I have lost the contest but still getting the first prize. At least our rank now is not that bad it was for a few weeks ago.

When the contest is over I will share my ideas and techniques with you… at least some of them.
